Do Aldi Sell Gluten Free Products? (Find out what they are and where to find them)

shopping, business, retail

This blog article will guide you to Aldi’s gluten free products and show you each product I found within
their aisles that was gluten free.

There’s no specific free from zones (in most Aldi supermarkets) and so it’s
necessary to search the normal aisles for labelled GF products and for those
which are not labelled GF but which actually are when you check the
ingredients labels and allergen statements.

You’ll be surprised how many Aldi products are gluten free, as I show
you every item I found below!

        Aldi’s Gluten Free Crisps

Aldi sell a lot more crisps that are gluten free than you probably realise. A few of their own-brand crisps too which are supposed to represent branded products are gluten free too, while the original branded products aren’t in some cases. This is true for monster munch, pringles, hula-hoops and wotsits, which are not gluten free when branded but at Aldi, their versions are gluten free!

The crisps here are also a lot more budget friendly at Aldi compared to other places, so enjoy the savings.

Aldi’s Gluten Free Snacks & Treats

Here’s a bunch of snacks and treats, both healthy and more indulgent which I found that are gluten free in Aldi at the moment. Aldi’s gluten free rice cakes are the cheapest around and their TRU brand fruit and nut bars are essentially the exact same as the bigger brand NAKD, except TRU are so much cheaper.

            1. Hi Eddie, thankyou so much for your feedback on this aldi specific article. It’s great news to hear that you found it helpful and I hope you’ll be able to return to it for guidance if you shop in aldi regularly. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you’re feeling back to your usual self soon – certainly sounds like you’ve been through it! If gluten free living in general is new to you, I hope you’ll look into the menu on my website for some other helpful articles too. I have new ones coming up for general Q&A’s people might have on being gluten free, but there’s also many other articles about saving money on your shopping which might also be useful for you if you’re looking to stick to a budget.
Either way, stay well and wishing you the best.

          3. This article is great. Thank you.

I had gastric bypass surgery a few months ago and have discovered that so many wheat based foods give me terrible pain after I have eaten so am convinced I need to cut gluten out of my diet for a more comfortable existence. This article along with a couple of others has helped me enormously to make more informed choices so hopefully the pain after eating will become a thing of the past.

            1. Hi Karen, thanks so much for your kind feedback there.

It sounds like you’ve been through a lot! I hope you’re making a good recovery after your surgery.

It’s great that my article and information could help you identify some areas of change for your diet and what might help. Have you ever been tested for coeliac disease or discussed this condition and other similar ones with your gp? If not, it might be useful to do so before cutting out gluten foods as they should be able to test you for coeliac then. If it’s not coeliac disease, it could be non-coeliac gluten sensitivity or a wheat intolerance, specifically, rather than gluten altogether. Definitely have a chat with them about it, it’s worth it to be sure.

I also have a few articles about the differences between these conditions and testing for coeliac disease at home too, incase you fancied some further reading and more information.

I hope to see you back here again soon!

              Gemma
